This white super-Tuscan comes from dry-farmed vineyards in the hills around Siena. Carpineto is a story of two friends and their families united together to partake in Tuscany’s wine renaissance. It was founded in 1967 in the little enclave of Dudda, just outside of Greve in Chianti by Giancarlo Sacchet and Antonio Mario Zaccheo. They revived some vineyards and made upgrades to the cellar for the purpose of producing top quality Tuscan wines. This white is a blend of Chardonnay, Grechetto and Sauvignon Blanc. Pleasantly fruity, elegantly aromatic, and a harmonious bouquet. It has a medium body with pleasant citrus flavors. It is a young, fresh wine with a balanced acidity and clean, delicate dry finish.

Excellent as an aperitif or with typical Mediterranean cuisine, such as salads, pasta, seafood and white meats. Excellent also with flavourful, spicy Asian foods.
