Chateau de Cary Potet is located in Buxy in the Cote Chalonnaise, about 40 minutes south of Beaune. The estate is one of the oldest in the Chalonnaise. The Desfontaine family have been winegrowers for 12 generations. Today, brothers Xavier and Arnaud run the estate with their mother, Veronique, where they make extraordinary Chardonnay from Montagny, a white wine appellation in Burgundy. This an excellent example of what the wines achieve in terms of quality and value. Aromas of persimmon, just-ripe peach and a saline mineral note plume form the glass. The wine is textured and refreshing with a lively concentration of ripe fruit flavors and chalky mineral complexity. The finish is energetic and exciting, calling you back for another thirst-quenching sip. Enjoy with seared scallops, ginger-lime black cod, or herb-marinated chicken. STAFF FAVORITE!
