The Loire Valley extends 600 miles from the Atlantic to the middle of France along the Loire River. It is France's most diverse wine region producing exemplary wines in every style--white, red, sparkling and sweet wines. Their characteristics are perfect for contemporary tastes--moderate alcohol, refreshing acidity, minerality, pure expression of varietal and terroir unmasked by oak, and to top it off excellent value. It is home to familiar grapes such as Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Franc, and Pinot Noir.
This cremant (sparkling) rose is made from Cabernet Franc, Chenin Blanc, and Grolleau mostly from the Anjou region of Loire. Second fermentation occurs in the bottle like Champagne and ages on its lees in the bottle for 12 months. The wine is disgorged, topped-up, a little dosage added, and a permanent cork is put on the bottle. Freshness and finesse in this bottle of rose bubbles. A lively bouquet of red berry fruit aromas. Wild strawberry and cherry flavors. Good intensity and balance on the palate following through with a delicate and subtle tangy aftertaste. Elegant and flavorful! Great as an apertif or try it with dessert.
