The Giribaldi family have been producing wine for three generations. For them “organic” is a lifestyle, a way of life that all of the family shares. Their Nebbiolo grapes for this Barolo come from two of the cru vineyards. It is vinified for 20 days and ages for two years in French oak barrels and then sits in the cellar until sold. On the nose evident strawberries, cherries and black forest fruits. A little white pepper on the nose which is a characteristic of this specific area of Novello. Warm vanilla sensations in the mouth, red fruit, dry and soft with wrapping sweet tannins. Slightly spicy notes mingle with the red fruit making this wine uniquely elegant. 2016 was a perfect vintage in Barolo and this is a perfect example of that outstanding year! Bravo!!!
