Pomelado is a natural amber wine, made from a blend of organic white grapes (mostly Macabeo) grown at Punctum Biodynamic Family Vineyards located in the province of Cuenca near central Spain. One of the key features of Pomelado is its production method. This wine undergoes skin contact fermentation, a process where the grape skins are left in contact with the juice for an extended period of time. This results in a wine that is rich and complex, with a depth of flavor and aroma that is unmatched by traditional white wines.
In addition to its unique production method, Pomelado is also unfiltered and has no added sulfites. This makes it a low intervention wine that is vegan-friendly and free from artificial additives.
It’s robust and bold. It has aromas of tropical fruit, bruised apple, brazil nut and dried orange rind. This amber wine is at the crossroads of a red wine for its tannins and a white wine for its good acidity.
