Based in Carmel Valley in the middle of the California coast, Monterey County is one of the great Pinot Noir growing regions.This wine has a great balance of fruit and oak on the palate which resembles cherry pie. There is also a light, refreshing quality of cranberry and watermelon on the finish. Richness on the mid-palate is enhanced by floral notes indicative of Monterey. The smooth finish, savory earth tones and bright acid begs to be enjoyed with food.
